Tracey Delphin, or Tracey Lea as she signs her work, is an emerging artist and tech entreperneur based in Tasmania, Australia.

Although interested in all forms of art, her work is generally focused in mediums related to New Media (Interaction Design and Photography) and Visual Arts (Drawing, Painting and Theory).

Tracey has an extensive tertiary education having been admitted into the degrees: Bachelor of Information Systems; Graduate Certificate in Creative Media Technology; Bachelor of Contemporary Art (Dean’s Honour Roll, 2016); and, Master of Teaching (Senior Secondary -Media Art, Visual Art, Computer Science and Humanities). In 2017 she is due to complete studies that will see her also admitted to the Vice Chancellor’s Elite Research-Based Bachelor of Philosophy and the Bachelor of Contemporary Arts with Honours Degrees.

Key themes that can be seen in her work are: perception; digital place; local landscape; memory; and, change. Many years of working in and being closely involved with the ICT community have influenced the development of these themes. Her background results in a robust foundation on which Tracey uses for deep exploration of concepts, ideas, media and technology that lead to deep, highly sensitive, layered works.

Her work has been exhibited in many non-commercial shows including the Graduate Show, 2017 at The Academy Gallery, University of Tasmania, Inveresk. This show, form November 24th to December 1st, saw her win the Sawtooth Prize for Honours for her 2017 body of work and academic achievement in researching and developing the Sanitised Landscapes series.

Head to the Tracey Lea Studio Shop to check out what works she has for sale. Often her work is on display in local cafés and galleries, send her an email for a current schedule. A news page for the site is in development.

This website is by Tracey Lea Studios 2017 (All rights reserved). Ultimately it is a portfolio that provides an opportunity for Tracey to share her art and demonstrate her ICT skills, as well as provide an example of her interaction design principles in context. The site itself is a custom-built website with bespoke CMS that runs on AWS and it is on an iterative development cycle which reflects Tracey's personal agile web development ethos.
